Supercapacitors are cutting-edge energy storage systems that bridge the gap between conventional capacitors and batteries. Compared to other energy storage systems, supercapacitors offer additional advantages of fast charge-discharge rate, high power density, and reliable cycle life. These characteristics enable supercapacitors to deliver energy much faster than batteries, making them critical in applications in which high-power output is required over short durations.
Our research group is focused on next-generation supercapacitors with a flexible, binder-free design that combines high mechanical strength with enhanced power density. By exploring novel materials and fabrication techniques, we are pushing the boundaries of supercapacitor performance to ensure their effectiveness in a wide range of demanding applications.
